Children’s Ministries

At Calvary Chapel Dallas, we have nursery available during both Wednesday night and Sunday morning services. Nursery is available for babies under 2 years of age. Feel free to leave them with our attendants or stay as needed. We do ask that only parents accompany babies due to space limitations. Fathers are welcome but please be sensitive to the needs of nursing mothers.

We offer a pre-kindergarten through kindergarten class during Sunday morning service. On Wednesday nights, our pre K - K class is combined with our 1st thru 5th grade class. In our pre K class, your children will learn about Jesus and the Bible at an age-appropriate level and receive the attention that they need in our small class.

We also offer a class for 1st thru 5th graders that is more geared towards their age group. This class teaches about Jesus and the Word, and the kids get to open their Bibles and learn, so that they can read and study on their own.

The Jr. High/Sr. High class is the highest available age class that we offer at the moment. Right now we are learning about the life of Jesus and His authority, and the power that He has to back up that authority. Currently, the Jr. High/Sr. High class only meets on Sunday mornings. As need arises, we will offer a class on Wednesdays.

Please, if you have an interest in serving in any of the following areas of Youth ministries, don't hesitate to contact us. You can call Roger Wilson at 503.831.1874 or email us at larry@calvarydallasor.com

Here at Calvary, we love to worship our Lord Jesus Christ. We do this by lifting up of our voices with praise and worship. We enjoy playing worship songs that move us in the spirit, and prepare our hearts to hear the Word. Our goal as a worship team is to lead our fellowship in honor and praise to our Lord and Savior. We do not seek to glorify ourselves, but to give all glory to our Father.

We do not endorse any particular artists, but mostly play contemporary worship songs. We also include some traditional hymns as part of our worship time.

"Praise Him with the blast of the trumpet; praise Him with the lyre and the harp! Praise Him with the tambourine and dancing; praise Him with stringed instruments and flutes! Praise Him with a clash of cymbals; praise Him with loud clanging cymbals. Let everything that lives sing praises to the Lord! Praise the Lord!" -Psalm 150:3-6.

We would love to have you come out and worship with us on Sunday or Wednesday! If you can play an instrument or have a voice that you would like to serve the Lord with, please don't hesitate to contact us. Call us at 503.831.1074 or email at larry@calvarydallasor.com

There are so many needs in the church, and places to serve. If you feel there is a need that you can see, or if you feel that you have an ability to serve in an area that you do not see here, please let us know.

Our Elders and Deacons oversee service as ushers, serving communion and passing out Bibles during both of our weekly services. If you feel that you can help out with serving in this area, please call the church at 503.831.1074 or email larry@ccdallasor@yahoo.com

This is also an area that we have a great need. Greeters meet people at the door as they come in to our building, and are a friendly smiling face to welcome people in. If you feel that you can greet people with a smiling face and possibly direct people to certain areas of need, please feel free to contact us. Call the church at 503.831.1074 or email: larry@calvarydallasor.com.

We have various volunteers for sound board operators. Several skilled volunteers have been working with our video and audio systems to create teaching files to use on the Website. If you have an interest in this area, please feel free to call us at 503.831.1074 or email: larry@calvarydallasor.com.

We are involved with ministering to the lives of prisoners behind bars, their families, and the aftercare to help with the transition from prison into the community again.

Pastor Larry has been involved with Bill Glass Champions for Life since 1982. In 2000, Pastor Larry became involved with Prison Fellowship which is directed by Chuck Colson. Larry also works closely with Prison Fellowship's regional director, Mark Hubbell.

Every Thursday, Larry facilitates a program," TUMI" in Oregon State Penitentiary (OSP). It is sponsored by Prison Fellowship in partnership with The Urban Ministry Institute in Wichita Kansas. It is a seminary level training for those that want to go further in their Christian walks. Upon four years of 16 modules the student will graduate with a Certificate of "Christian Leadership". These are Christian men that by submitting to the work of the Holy Spirit in their lives have done the homework, Scripture memorization, wrote papers, read many Christian books and then after testing have been recognized a man after God's heart. They have embraced a discipline in their lives that takes them through a transformation of the heart.

Calvary Chapel Dallas is also a "Bridge church" for Prison Fellowship, helping the transition of men and women from incarceration back to Polk county

We are available to visit any inmate that has need of Pastoral care.

Here at Calvary Chapel, we are involved with the aftercare team for Polk and Marion county and come together with other churches in the community in this endeavor.

For more information, contact Pastor Larry or visit prisonfellowship.org.

..."for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me a drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me." Then the righteous will answer Him, saying "Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You a drink? When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?" And the King will answer and say to them, "Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me." -Matthew 25:35-40

River of Life House is a non-profit house of transition for those getting out of prison or jail. "And He showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb." - Revelation 22:1

Our Lord has led us to establish a house that is for those making the transition from prison or jail back to the community. It is a Christ-centered house with the focus on being a man of God. Every effort will be made to help those that want to make a second chance at life in the community walking with Christ. Church and Bible studies will be at the center of this home. This house is funded by Christians wanting to give the best possible chance for a man to make a new start. For further information on how you can help out, please contact us at larryguyna@yahoo.com
