You may be asking what does it mean to be born again.  To be born again is not refering to being literally born again, it is refering to a spiritual birth.  When you recieve Jesus into your life you recieve eternal life and are therefore "born again."  We here at Calvary Chapel invite you to recieve Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior.

So how do I go about asking Jesus into my life?  Well, all you have to do is pray and ask Jesus to come into your life.  First, lets read a few passages from God's word.

1. God loves us and has a plan for our lives.  

"  -For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.  -John 3:16

2. Each of us have sinned and fall short of what God intended for us.

  -For all have sinned; all fall short of God's glorious standard.  -Romans 3:23

  -For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.  -Romans 6:23

3. God has a plan of redemption for each of us.

  -But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.   -Romans 5:8

4. It is not enough to just know this we must take action.

  -For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.  -Romans 10:9

Now that we have read a few things that God has to say about eternal life and His son Jesus, lets ask Him for this free gift of salvation! Pray like this:

     Father, I want to surrender to you today, I accept your Son as my Savior. Please forgive my sins and fill me with your Spirit and help me to turn my life to obey and follow you.  Amen

Congratulations, and welcome to the family of God!  This is just the first step in your amazing walk with Jesus.  Now that you have accepted the Lord, we encourage you to get plugged into a local church so that you may fellowship with other believers.  Fellowship is an important part of being a Christian.  It helps you to grow your walk and encourage other believers that may have the same struggles you are having.

Being a part of a fellowship also helps you to be fed.  If you expect to live you have to eat, right?  Well, the same goes with being a Christian.  If you want to spiritually live, you have to be fed the Word of God.  Otherwise, you dry up and you become spiritually dry.  So, we encourage you to find a local fellowship of believers and plug in!
